300 icons added to google maps to create large Growing Hollingdean printed map

Google Maps is helpful for adding live local information, using it to help residents find what fruit and nut trees are in their neighbourhood, see the map close up here. Google maps can be personalised with your own icons designed in InDesign. Once Sarahjane added these she created a large printed version of the map to display at Hollingdean Community Centre during the annual plant sale and AGM. A little volunteering can help lots of people and we have to remember that not everyone is tech savvy.
