Excel tables quickly branded in InDesign by Freelance Artworker in Brighton

This Artworker loves tables designers hate

Microsoft Excel is limited for creativity and design but InDesign can create company branded tables from your Excel tables. By importing and setting up table styles Sarahjane can quickly change many tables to look the consistent e.g. the same colour and fonts. They can also flow neatly from page to page. Tables are a fantastic way to layout lots of data neatly.

This small family run business required eBay banners, icons and logos designed for there website. Sarahjane created these in InDesign where she was able to save to any type of file required e.g. jpeg or png.

This artwork was then used to create their vinyl window stickers, posters, a gravatar / favicon and some adverts.

Legal document updated to new brand colours and logos

A Microsoft Word document is usually supplied in a real mess, a collection of different fonts and colours. This can be imported directly into InDesign and manipulating the font to fit on four sides and still be readable.

Sarahjane also created an interactive PDF, recreated a T&Cs layouts, made amends to existing projects and help create an EPUB.

Sarahjane used Brian previous artwork and recreated the new updated Wired Sussex Job Fair paper. Working in-house in the Brighton studio with the latest InDesign. Copy sent approved and added to layout. Creating a new map from scratch using Illustrator, keeping everything print ready for the tight deadline.

Text heavy craft manuals InDesign layout

Using Designer corporate branding and guidelines

Sarahjane took on the mammoth text heavy layout project in InDesign of EDF’s craft manuals. Eight manuals in total with around 600 pages long each. The original 1970’s manuals where scanned into word files then Sarahjane imported them into InDesign. Using styles she made from the corporate branding and guidelines to create a consistent document.
